Roots remake casting call for kid actors in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Casting directors are looking for kid actors, models, and talent to work on the Roots remake. Producers are looking for light skin kid actors to work as a photo double on an upcoming scene filming in New Orleans, Louisiana. Filming will take place on Tuesday, September 8th.
A&E Networks is working on the Roots remake. The new mini-series will be a remake of the classic 1997 miniseries that traced a black family’s history from salvery on to the end of the Civil War. The eight-episode series, which has been in the works since 2013, will air simultaneously on The History Channel, A&E, and Lifetime in 2016.
