Job Description
“Hides the Fire” is seeking background actors for a one-day proof-of-concept film production in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The project is especially seeking Indigenous and Native American men and women, while background performers of all ethnicities are welcome. Scenes take place on a working movie set, with extras portraying actors, film crew members, production personnel, and other entertainment industry professionals. The project supports a planned feature film bringing attention to the Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP) crisis.
Job Responsibilities
- Appear as a background actor in proof-of-concept film scenes.
- Portray actors, film crew, production personnel, or other movie-set workers.
- Perform natural background actions appropriate to a working film set.
- Follow direction from the production team throughout filming.
- Maintain professionalism and continuity while on set.
Requirements
- Ages 18 and older.
- Indigenous and Native American men and women are especially encouraged to apply.
- Background actors of all ethnicities are welcome.
- Must be comfortable portraying entertainment industry professionals.
- Must be able to work in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
