Job Description

A web series is seeking an experienced Assistant Director to help manage a small, collaborative production and keep filming organized and on schedule. The ideal candidate has strong logistical instincts, communicates effectively across departments, and can identify and resolve production slowdowns in real time. The Assistant Director will work closely with two co-directors, the DP, cast, and crew to coordinate daily plans and maintain an efficient workflow.

Job Responsibilities

  • Keep production organized, on schedule, and moving efficiently.
  • Work closely with two co-directors to execute daily production plans.
  • Manage a small cast and crew while maintaining clear communication between departments.
  • Oversee call sheets and daily production logistics.
  • Facilitate communication between the DP and directors.
  • Help troubleshoot shot and scheduling challenges in real time.

Requirements

  • Previous Assistant Director experience preferred.
  • Experience with digital, independent, or small-to-mid-sized crew productions preferred.
  • Strong organizational and logistical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple production priorities efficiently.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation

  • $250 per day.
  • Approximately 8–9 shoot days.
