Job Description

Stag & Lion Theatre Company is casting Harold, a devoted Catholic altar boy in Bruno and the Alter Boys. This supporting role contributes to the play’s exploration of faith, friendship, and growing up. Selected actors will rehearse and perform in the staged reading production.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform the role of Harold.
  • Attend rehearsals and staged readings.
  • Collaborate with the production team.
  • Prepare dialogue and character interpretation.
  • Participate in scheduled performances.

Requirements

  • Male, ages 16–18 (must convincingly portray ages 14–15).
  • Able to portray a devoted Catholic altar boy.

Compensation

  • Unpaid non-union staged reading opportunity.

Stag & Lion Theatre Company is seeking an actor to portray Michael, an all-American teenager in Bruno and the Alter Boys. Michael contributes to the ensemble’s dynamic and helps bring the coming-of-age story to life through rehearsals and staged performances.

  • Perform the role of Michael during rehearsals and readings.
  • Work collaboratively with the cast and director.
  • Prepare dialogue and character work.
  • Attend callbacks if selected.
  • Participate in scheduled performances.

Requirements

  • Male, ages 16–18 (must convincingly portray ages 15–16).
  • Open to all ethnicities.
  • Fits the character of an all-American teenage boy.

Stag & Lion Theatre Company is casting Tommy, an athletic and outgoing teen in the coming-of-age play Bruno and the Alter Boys. Tommy brings confidence and youthful energy to the ensemble and will work closely with the cast throughout rehearsals and staged performances.

Requirements

  • Male, ages 16–20 (must convincingly portray ages 14–16).
  • White/European descent or ethnically ambiguous/multiracial.
  • Athletic, outgoing, confident, and self-assured.
