Serena Innaco

Serena Innaco is a dynamic dancer and choreographer hailing from Shelton, CT. Her journey in dance began at age three in her local studio, where she quickly developed an undeniable passion for the art form. As a young dancer, Serena trained in tap, ballet, and jazz before expanding her repertoire to include Hip Hop, Street Jazz, Contemporary, and Heels. Now based in NYC, she continues to evolve as an artist and performer, driven by a relentless work ethic and dedication to growth, making her a valuable asset to the dance community. Alongside her twin sister, who is also an aspiring dancer, Serena embraces the role of a lifelong student. She is committed to becoming a versatile, well-rounded professional, as evidenced by her diverse training. After high school, Serena nurtured a close mentorship with Paul Herman of Double Up Dance Company, diving into street styles, while also studying Contemporary, Modern, and West African dance at Eastern Connecticut State University. There, she earned degrees in Dance and World Performance and Exercise Science. Serena continues her training in NYC at premier studios, including Broadway Dance Center, Brickhouse NYC, and Peridance Center. She further refines her craft through distinguished programs like Luam Keflezgy’s Enclave, Nika Kljun’s Summer Dance Stay, Ryan Miller’s Find Your Life, Antoine Troupe’s Troupe Training Online Program, and Menina Fortunato’s Business of Dance. In addition to her dance education, Serena is Pilates Certified through the Equinox Pilates Training Institute. Serena is also a company member of Royal Thieves, the professional dance company directed by Deshawn Da Prince. Through this company, she continues to perform, train, and collaborate alongside fellow professional dancers while further developing her artistry in the commercial dance industry. Notable performances in Serena’s career include Carnival NYC, Westchester Knicks Halftime, Club NYC, and Brickhouse NYC, collaborating with choreographers such as SayQuon Keys, Erick “Strykeforce” Footman, Satoko Mori, Darrin Little, Paul Herman, and Deshawn Da Prince. She has also performed with emerging artists managed by Donnie Klang in New York and California, including appearances at the House of Blues and Stereo Gardens, where she opened for AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys. Serena’s on-camera work includes a music video directed by Nick Terrana. She has also choreographed and performed for university showcases and affiliated dance companies. Serena’s dance style reflects her passion and is an extension of her character. Her movement embodies a balance of feminine and masculine energy, and she is known for her clean, detailed, and dynamic execution. Adaptable in any rehearsal room, Serena’s commitment as a student makes her an invaluable asset to any creative team. She is devoted to dancing and performing with full dedication, bringing any creative vision to life. Beyond the studio, Serena’s life experiences continue to shape her dance journey. She teaches dance and Pilates to students of all ages, and through this process, she has developed a deeper understanding of the concept of “failure.” She believes that failure is not an end but an opportunity for growth—setbacks are simply stepping stones toward success.
