Netflix’s ‘The Get Down’ Casting Call for Teen Actors in New York City.
Netflix’s The Get Down is looking for African American & Hispanic men & women to portray 1970s Office Interns. Casting directors are looking for teen actors that look 18 years old and younger to work on the scene. Auditions start October 20th and filming will take place on Wednesday, October 21st and Thursday, October 22nd.
“The Get Down” centers around the emerging music scene in the 1970’s. The 70’s featured the birth of punk rock and hip hop. The show will be set in New York City which is also the home of an excssive crime rate and corruption. According to Variety,“The Get Down” will focus on a group of teens living in the South Bronx as music develops and explodes in the borough around them.

Must be available for an interview TOMORROW Oct 20th late afternoon (if chosen fitting directly after interview). Tentative Shoot Date of Wed 10/21 & Thurs 10/22.
