Julián Vilar
About:
Julián Vilar is an actor, musician, director, and playwright.
He graduated from the Instituto Superior Escuela Nacional de Teatro y Títeres in Rosario with the title of National Actor.
He trained in acting with Marcelo Palma, Mariana Brisky, Damián Dreizik, Rubens Correa, Javier Margulis, and Rubén Szuchmacher.
He studied directing with Augusto Fernández, Aldo Pricco, and Rubén Szuchmacher.
He was nominated for the 2015 Trinidad Guevara Award for Best Supporting Actor for the play Just the End of the World.
Since the year 2000, he has lived in Buenos Aires, where he has developed an intense artistic career in theater, music, and television.
From 2005 to 2011, he was a member of Ambulancia – sonido prêt-à-porter, a musical-theatrical performance group that toured various venues throughout the country and won the 2007 Teatro del Mundo Award for “musical creation or soundtrack in theater.”
In 2012, he participated in the Globe to Globe Festival at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, performing in Henry IV, Part II.
