Asa Nygards

Asa Nygards (she/her, pronounced OH-sa NEE-gords) is a Swedish-Indian actor based in London. Recent screen work includes playing SOE agent Noor Inayat Khan in Woman on the Front Line (Woodcut Media) and the lead of Sanya in And Then We Dance. On stage, the title role in Strindberg's Miss Julie with Teatergruppen Svea. Her work is interior and observational drawn to stories of dual identity, restraint, and emotional precision, in the register of Joachim Trier, Mira Nair, and the quieter end of Scandinavian and British drama. Fluent in English and Swedish. Trained over three years at Identity School of Acting and City Lit, with continued study under Jo Kelly (The Purposeful Actor) and workshops with director Richard Kwietniowski. Alongside screen work, an established commercial and fashion film career (Monzo, Charlotte Tilbury, Lindex, Shell) brings strong camera literacy and ease on set.
