The story follows Candy Walker-Jordan, a young Black woman anarchist, as she navigates political organizing, identity, and personal growth. Casting directors are looking for strong dramatic performers to portray emotionally layered supporting characters in this independent film production.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform a featured speaking role in the short feature film.
- Deliver authentic and emotionally engaging performances.
- Collaborate with the director and production team throughout filming.
- Attend scheduled rehearsals and production days as required.
Requirements
- Mama: Black female, mid-30s to 40s. Average height or taller. A tough-loving mother and partner who is headstrong, imposing, and deeply committed to her family.
- Jon: Black male, mid-30s to 40s. Average height or taller. A journalist and father who is poised, reserved, and quietly courageous while covering dangerous stories affecting his community.
- Strong dramatic acting skills.
- Must be comfortable performing in a character-driven independent film.
Compensation
