Casting directors are seeking talented actors for diverse, character-driven roles in this emotional and comedic production.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray one of the featured speaking roles in the short film.
- Deliver authentic and emotionally engaging performances.
- Collaborate with the director and fellow cast members throughout production.
- Attend filming as scheduled in Brooklyn, New York.
Requirements
- Drea: Black woman, late 20s to early 30s. Petite frame with large breasts. A shy but warm and introspective character who is comfortable in her body despite ongoing discomfort. Partial nudity (shoulders up with pasties) is required. No sexual scenes.
- Grandmother: Jamaican woman, late 60s to early 70s. Must be able to speak Jamaican Patois and improvise naturally. Warm yet stern personality with strong family values.
- Alex: Black, mixed-race, or non-White woman, late 20s. Costume designer and creative professional with a grounded, spiritual personality who enjoys yoga and meditation.
- Sheem: Black or Hispanic queer male, late 20s to early 30s. A personable personal trainer and community favorite with an outgoing, flamboyant personality.
- Tash: Black woman, late 20s. Fitness enthusiast with a professional career in advertising. Confident, responsible, and physically capable of running comfortably.
- Must be available to film in Brooklyn, New York.
Compensation
- Sheem: $150 flat rate.
- Tash: $150 flat rate.
- Other roles are paid. Compensation will be discussed upon selection.
