Kala Dennis

Kala R. Dennis is a visionary leader, entrepreneur, federal employee, and community advocate dedicated to advancing leadership, technology, economic empowerment, and public service. A native of Union Springs, Alabama, she is the first member of her immediate family to earn a college degree and has transformed personal challenges into a lifelong commitment to serving others. Dennis is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Global Leadership and Organizational Development at Troy University. She holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Entrepreneurship from Troy University. Additionally, she completed extensive coursework in Computer Information Systems and Accounting at Alabama State University and is CompTIA Security certified. Professionally, Dennis serves with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and has held federal positions with the U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the Alabama Department of Corrections. Her experience spans human resources, equal employment opportunity, workforce development, labor investigations, customer service, information technology, and organizational leadership. Dennis is the Founder and President of Christian Leaders of USA, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting education, leadership development, civic engagement, and service opportunities for women, minorities, veterans, and underserved communities. Through her leadership, the organization has coordinated youth leadership initiatives, Juneteenth celebrations, health fairs, educational programs, and community outreach efforts throughout Alabama. She is also the Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Kay's Print Shop & Technologies, LLC, a HUBZone-certified small business specializing in graphic design, commercial printing, videography, live streaming, web design, information technology services, cybersecurity consulting, drone photography, and business development solutions. In addition, she owns Travel with KD, a full-service travel agency specializing in luxury travel, group travel, cruises, destination weddings, and international travel experiences. Recognized for her commitment to global leadership, Dennis participated in an international practicum in Costa Rica and presented on sustainability and entrepreneurship in global environments. Her doctoral research focuses on the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in rural communities and strategies for fostering innovation, resilience, and economic development. Dennis remains committed to empowering others through leadership, education, entrepreneurship, and community service while creating opportunities that inspire positive change locally, nationally, and globally.
