Gigi Casey

Gigi Casey is a versatile performer from Sussex, she specialises in comedy, character work and tv/film/theatre. Having just graduated from a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance at the Royal College of Music, studying with Dinah Harris- she now aims to break into the world of entertainment with her unique and charming ability to communicate. Whilst at the RCM she was a H. R. Taylor Charitable Trust Scholar and Spiller Award holder, supported by the Drake Calleja Trust, Josephine Baker Trust, and the Westdene Fund. In 2025, she joined the National Opera Studio Academy as a Young Artist and performed Annina in Verdi’s La Traviata at the Lyrique-en-Mer Festival. During her first year at the RCM, Gigi appeared as Polly in Weill’s The Threepenny Opera, Miss Ford in Nicolai’s The Merry Wives of Windsor, and the lead in Madeleine Dring’s chamber opera A Cupboard of Love. She also took part in a Strauss workshop with Roger Vignoles and has appeared in concert at venues including St Mary le Strand and Brighton Unitarian Church. Gigi earned her Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours from the Royal Northern College of Music, where she studied with Louise Winter, Sandra Dugdale, and Linda Richardson. Her operatic roles there included Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Véronique (Lecocq’s Le Docteur Miracle, 2023), and Angelica (Il burbero di buon cuore, 2024). She won the 2023 Dame Felicity Lott Recital Competition and the 2024 Junior Charles Wood Song Prize, and was selected for the International Summer Academy of the MDW (ISA) in 2023. She returned to the Lyrique-en-Mer Festival in 2024 as a Young Artist. From the age of 14, Gigi trained at the Junior Royal Academy of Music with support from the MDS Fund, performing roles such as Gianetta (L’elisir d’amore) and Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus), and singing Soprano I in Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 at the Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall.
