Job Description
An independent pop artist is seeking creative crew members for a paid music video production in Los Angeles. The project features a hyperpop-meets-nostalgic-nightlife aesthetic, incorporating flash photography, camcorder textures, iPhone footage, and energetic nightlife visuals. The production is looking for collaborative creatives interested in building their portfolios while contributing to a visually exciting music video.
Job Responsibilities
Depending on the role, responsibilities may include:
- Capturing cinematic footage and nightlife-inspired visuals.
- Operating camera equipment and assisting with visual storytelling.
- Editing footage with strong pacing and creative transitions.
- Performing color correction and color grading to achieve the desired visual style.
- Collaborating with the artist and creative team throughout production.
- Contributing creative ideas that enhance the final music video.
Requirements
Director of Photography / Camera Operator
- Sony camera experience preferred (or similar camera systems).
- Must have access to personal camera equipment.
- Strong visual storytelling skills.
- Open to cinematographers interested in directing as well.
Editor
- Experience editing music videos preferred.
- Strong understanding of pacing, rhythm, and visual flow.
- Ability to create engaging, stylized edits.
Colorist
- Experience with color grading and creating distinct visual aesthetics.
- Ability to support the project’s hyperpop and nightlife-inspired look.
Additional Qualifications:
- Collaborative and creative mindset.
- Portfolio, reel, website, Instagram, or previous work samples required.
- Emerging creatives and women filmmakers are encouraged to apply.
