Melissa James

Melissa James is an acclaimed Australian multidisciplinary artist, choreographer and director whose career has spanned the world's most iconic stages. Beginning in the world of musical theatre, Melissa established her foundation of excellence as Dance Captain for numerous Broadway masterpieces, including 'Chicago,' 'Hairspray,' and 'Mamma Mia,' and starred as Penny in Future Cinema's production of 'Dirty Dancing.' Bridging her unique articulation from the stage to the sky, Melissa became a driving creative force in Franco Dragone's aquatic spectacle "La Perle" in Dubai, serving as Associate Aerial Choreographer of all harness work, Aerialist, Clown Prince Cover and Artistic Coordinator. Her status as a world-class aerialist was solidified as she starred as a Soloist at Dubai's 2020 World Expo and was the celebrated star of the Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Saudi Games. She later headlined in the Middle East as the title role in the big top extravaganza 'Celestia Nouveau', a production she also choreographed and associate directed. Her creative endeavors as a Choreographer continued in 2025 with ‘Cirque Melodie’ in which she also starred as a dancer/aerialist/actress playing ‘Constance Mozart’. Currently, Melissa is a commanding presence on the Las Vegas Strip, performing as a Dancer/Aerialist in the hit show 'Electric Fantasy' and starring as the lead icon character 'Chance' at the highly anticipated Universal Horror Unleashed.
