Desiree Almaraz – Estrada

My name is Desiree Almaraz - Estrada and I am a small content creator, dancer, actress, writer, small business owner, etc. Being a part of this creative space has allowed me to break out of my shell and to become the woman that I am today.  It has also helped me work through the challenges that I face as a POC, a former foster youth, and as someone who has learning disabilities. I have been placed in American dance competitions and Bolivian folklore for many years. Along with 4 years of experience in being part of the Film and Media Academy. I have worked in my school district for many years as well. I also study Human Services/Social work at Rio Hondo Community College. I am a group leader for an afterschool program called The Boys and Girls Club.  Additionally, I have collaborated on small projects with my fellow creative individuals. I want to be able to continue doing what I love and help the youth pursue their dreams. Despite of the obstacles that they may face throughout their life. I want to show others that it’s possible to achieve what you want regardless if you have enough resources, connections or funding. What really helps us really thrive is having a community like this one to not only lean on for support but to root for each other as well. I’m a model and aspiring actor who’s passionate about telling stories whether through the lens or on screen. I bring emotional honesty, depth, and individuality to every project I’m part of. My goal is to create moments that feel real, move people, and leave a lasting impression. I’m not just here to pose or perform. I’m here to feel. I’m drawn to the magic of storytelling, whether it’s through a single shot, a line of dialogue, or a dance move. I bring softness, strength, and soul to everything I create. I have some experience with modeling with doing runway modeling for LA Fashion Week.
