Job Description
An NYU graduate thesis film titled Brown Waters is now casting young Black female actors for lead and supporting roles in a coming-of-age story set in Georgia’s Bible Belt. The production is seeking talented young performers with strong emotional presence for an independent film exploring family, identity, and growing up in the South.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform scripted scenes in a dramatic coming-of-age film
• Collaborate with the director and cast during production
• Participate in callbacks and filming as scheduled
• Bring emotional authenticity and depth to the role

Requirements

• Seeking Black female actors for the following roles:
  • Adena: ages 9–12, lead role
  • Mary Ann: ages 12–15, supporting role
• Comfortable performing in a dramatic independent film
• Must be available for callbacks and filming in Decatur, Georgia
• Acting experience is a plus but not required

Compensation

• Meals provided during production
• Travel stipend available
