Netflix’s The Get Down is looking for extras to play zulu warriors in New York City.
Grant Wilfley Casting is looking for actors, models, and talent to work on Netflix’s new series The Get Down. Casting directors are looking for African American men and women ages 18 to 30 to play younger Zulu/Afro Punk Kids. Fittings are scheduled for March 3rd and filming on Monday, March 7th.
About Netflix’s The Get Down:
“The Get Down” centers around the emerging music scene in the 1970’s. The 70’s featured the birth of punk rock and hip hop. The show will be set in New York City which is also the home of an excssive crime rate and corruption. According to Variety,“The Get Down” will focus on a group of teens living in the South Bronx as music develops and explodes in the borough around them.

NON-UNION African American males and females ages 18-30 to portray younger Zulu/Afro Punk Kid Types for fitting tomorrow, 3/3, work on Monday 3/7. Please note if you have worked previously in this series. Must have longer, natural hair. No braids, no dreads, no extensions, no wigs, no shaved heads.
SAG/NON-UNION African American males ages 20-35 to portray Zulu Warrior types must have a muscular/large physique. Must be 6′ or taller. Must have longer, natural hair. No braids, no dreads, no extensions, no wigs, no shaved heads. Please note if you have previously worked on the series.Fitting tomorrow, 3/3, work Monday, 3/7.
