New National Geographic TV Series Lead Roles Casting Call

National Geographic TV What Would Teddy Do? series is now casting lead roles

Casting directors are looking for actors, models, and talent to play Teddy Roosevelt on the upcoming National Geographic special What Would Teddy Do?. According to the casting call, the new show will examine our current political climate through the lens of Teddy Roosevelt’s life and experiences.

Filming will take place in the Baltics (Lithuania) for 3-4 days during week of April 18. Rate: $400/day, plus travel/food. Non union.

Casting directors are looking for the following role:

  • Male to portray TEDDY ROOSEVELT as both a young man (mid 20’s) & also older (in his 50’s; we’ll age actor if appropriate). Very interested in male actors age 35 – 50! Physical resemblance a plus, but more importantly, strong acting chops to embody his powerful, charismatic, albeit slightly nerdy persona. Horse riding skills a plus!

Shoot is in the Baltics (Lithuania) for 3-4 days during week of April 18. Rate: $400/day, plus travel/food. Non union.

In email body, incl your name, contact info, where you live (city/state), current “selfie” style photos (both face & 3/4; natural, no manipulation or filters) & confirm you’re able to work non union. If you have horseback riding skills, please describe experience/proficiency level. You may include headshot/resume/reel or recent performing clips (current natural snapshots more important than headshot). Accepting nationwide submissions. If you have a valid US passport, please advise.

Deadline for submissions: extended to FRI 3/18 by 12AM Midnight (may be extended; no guarantee). Some candidates will be asked to audition in person, or submit self tape. THANK YOU!!
