‘Batman v Superman’ Cancels Red Carpet Premiere After Terrorist Attack

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice cancels London premiere after Brussels terrorist attack.

Warner Bros. has decided to pull the plug on press on the red carpet of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice premiere in London this Tuesday following the terrorist attacks in Brussels that left dozens dead.

However, the premiere will continue.

“Our hearts go out to the victims of recent terrorist attacks, their families and the communities impacted around the world,” Warner Bros. said in a statement. “Rather than yield to terror, we’ve decided to join the film’s and move forward with the London premiere of Batman v. this evening.”

A of terrorist attacks dozens in Brussels Tuesday morning, with two explosions at its international airport and one at a station. Brussels have since raised the terror threat level to four, the highest level and officials are telling Belgium residents to stay inside their homes. Security was heightened throughout Europe following the terrorist attacks.

The bombings come days after the arrest of Salah Abdeslam, the main surviving suspect in last November’s Paris attacks. According to reports, ISIS is claiming responsibility for the terrorist attack.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” starring Ben Affleck and in the roles of Batman and Superman, will be released in U.S. theaters on 25.
