Michelle Kunzler

Originally from Switzerland, I am a Los Angeles–based filmmaker. I graduated from the New York Film Academy Los Angeles in 2023, where I developed a strong foundation in set etiquette and on-set workflow. Since then, I have gained hands-on experience on a variety of productions, primarily as a production designer. As a production designer, I have shaped the visual world of projects across genres, formats, and production scales, including branded content commercials, series, and award-winning short films (Umit, The Ally, Kool-Aid Stand, Twisted Revenge, Sequoia). My work on Sequoia received the Best Visual Design Award at the FEEDBACK Female Film Festival 2025 and a Best Production Design/Art Direction nomination at the Burbank International Film Festival 2025. In addition, I have worked across multiple roles within the art department, including set decorator, set dresser, and prop master. My approach combines precision, resourcefulness, and a strong work ethic, with a focus on immersive and intentional visual storytelling. I pay close attention to composition, color palette, texture, and symbolism to create environments that feel both authentic and expressive. I have also beeen working as a production assistant. Most recently, I worked as a PA on the music video “Mafia” by Yo Yo Honey Singh, one of India’s leading mainstream hip-hop artists. I have a reliable car and am comfortable driving in Los Angeles, including handling production runs and transport as needed.
