Netflix is now casting extras to work on The Get Down for a concert scene filming in New York City.

Netflix’s The Get Down is now casting African American and Hispanic concert goers to work on a scene filming on Monday, April 18th.

Casting directors are looking for hip hop fans from 2005. Filming will take place in New York City.


About Netflix’s The Get Down:

The Get Down centers around the emerging music scene in the 1970’s. The 70’s featured the birth of punk rock and hip hop. The show will be set in New York City which is also the home of an excssive crime rate and corruption. According to Variety,“The Get Down” will focus on a group of teens living in the South Bronx as music develops and explodes in the borough around them.
