About:
Michael McRuiz is an award-winning artist and photographer based in Tulsa, where he was born and raised. Since childhood he has had a strong interest in art. He studied painting at the University of Tulsa, earning BFA (1976) and MA (1986) degrees. He retired from Tulsa Community College where he was Assistant Professor of Digital Media. Prior to TCC he taught art, photography, and digital media at Union Public Schools and was a photojournalist at the Tulsa World.
