Is Adam Sandler Dead? Adam Sandler Death Hoax Goes Viral

Date:

Adam Sandler is dead? hoax goes viral after a story reports that Adam Sandler had died.

This weekend a hoax report went viral claiming that the actor and comedian was found dead in his home, the victim of an apparent suicide. The story came from a website called Linkbeef, which claimed that police found Adam Sandler’s body inside his home.

The report mixed the real reports from the death of comedian Robin Williams, but it was filled with errors.

“Sandler had recently returned to a rehabilitation centre to ‘fine-tune’ his sobriety, the Los Angeles Times reported in July.

“The local Sheriff’s office said Sandler was found unconscious and not breathing at his home near Tiburon, north of San Francisco.

“‘At this time, the Sheriff’s Office Coroner Division suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia, but a comprehensive investigation must be completed before a final determination is made,’ police said in a statement.”

The report even claimed that Sandler’s wife issued a comment saying she was “heartbroken” and asking for privacy. “This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken,” the website claimed.

“On behalf of Adam’s family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the will not be Adam’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.”

Last September, the same website posted the same exact story and it went viral as well. The story spread quickly on and several news outlets reported the false news.

While the story is going viral on social media, his death didn’t really get as much traction in the news the second time around. In September, news outlets from around the world reported on the story on Adam Sandler’s death, with many people analyzing why would want to kill himself.

There is one possible explanation for why the Adam Sandler death hoax is picking up steam again. released a for his new comedy, The Do-Over, in which he and fake their own deaths to start a new life. A trailer was released last week to fairly good reviews, a change of pace from the recently poor rated in Adam Sandler.

Adam Sandler is just one of many celebrities to be targeted by a death hoax. Recently, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Macaulay Culkin.
