Jessica Schneider
About:
Jessica Schneider is a dancer from Baldwin, Maryland who began her dance training at the age of five with Carroll Manor Dance in Phoenix, Maryland. She then studied at Baltimore Ballet and Dance Conservatory of Maryland, with artistic director, Barclay Gibbs. Jessica competed at the Youth America Grand Prix as a soloist and was invited to YAGP Finals as an ensemble member in 2020 and 2022. She also placed in the Top 15 Senior Soloists at Universal Ballet Competition in 2021. Jessica attends Point Park University on scholarship and is expected to receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, with a minor in Business Management, and Honors Certificate, in Spring 2026. She has studied with teachers such as Jae Man Joo, Jesse Factor, and Kiesha Lalama, to name a few. In the conservatory, Jessica has performed repertoire by George Balanchine, Marius Petipa, Jimmy Gamonet de los Heros, and Martha Graham, in addition to choreography by Yoshiaki Nakano and Daniel Karasik. She has also presented an original work in Point Park’s Fall Repertory Concert. Her past summer intensives include Point Park University, the Radio City Rockettes, the Rock School for Dance Education, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. In addition to dance, Jessica enjoys singing and playing the flute and oboe.
