Julianne Moore’s Wonderstruck casting call for kid actors in New York City.

Julianne Moore’s new movie is now casting kid actors to work on Wonderstruck, which is filming in New York City. Producers are looking for kid actors between the ages of 9 to 13 years old to work on the scene. The movie is set in the 1970s and producers are looking for kids to play kids from that time period.


About Wonderstruck:

Wonderstruck centers around two deaf children, Ben and Rose. Ben lives with his family in Minnesota in 1977, and runs off to New York following his mother’s death when a mysterious note shows up. Rose, who is locked in a house in 1927 New Jersey, also escapes to New York to see her idol, film actress Lillian Mayhew.

Seeking:
SAG-AFTRA/ NON UNION Children ages 9-13 years ,Caucasian Boys with shaggy, longish hair (must come over ears)
AND African American boys with afros (small or large afros)
AND Caucasian Girls with any length hair but not super long. A little past the shoulders is ok AND African American Girls with afros, natural hair, straight hair is ok too. Braids might be ok. To
portray 1970s Kids in the Todd Haynes movie “Wonderstruck” starring Julianne Moore & Michelle Williams.

Fittings/ Haircuts are 1-2 weeks before shooting. Fittings are in Lower Manhattan (Wall Street Area).
