Job Description

A feature film production is seeking male and female background actors and featured extras for an upcoming romantic comedy. The story follows a gifted but unlucky-in-love programmer who, after a public breakup, is forced to collaborate with her ex’s charming rival—a behavioral psychologist—to create a dating app that could unexpectedly match them together.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray background or featured extra roles in various scenes

  • Follow on-set direction from the director and assistant directors

The production is looking for skilled professionals to join the team for a Houston-based shoot. This is a paid opportunity to collaborate on a character-driven feature film with a dynamic creative team.

Job Responsibilities

Open crew positions include:

  • Camera Operator

  • 1st Assistant Camera (1st AC)

  • 2nd Assistant Camera (2nd AC)

  • Set Decorator

  • Location Sound Mixer

  • Grip

  • Electric

  • Drivers

Responsibilities vary by department but may include operating and maintaining camera equipment, managing lighting and grip setups, overseeing set design elements, capturing high-quality production audio, transporting cast/crew/equipment, and supporting daily production operations.

Requirements

  • Must be local to Houston or able to work as a local hire

  • Previous experience in the applied crew position preferred

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment

  • Resume and reel required where applicable
