Michael Keaton to play the villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming
I guess Michael Keaton is moving to the ATL. According to reports Michael Keaton is joining the cast and crew of the new Marvel movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming. From THR:
Sony/Marvel’s initial overtures to Keaton didn’t get past the offer stage, insiders tell The Hollywood Reporter. The companies then moved on to other actors before circling back to Keaton, the actor who once played Bruce Wayne/Batman and then poked fun of his own image as an actor living in the shadow of a superhero role with his Oscar-nominated turn in Birdman.
Spider-Man: Homecoming, which features Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., and Marisa Tomei, is now in production in Atlanta, Georgia. It will be directed by Jon Watts and will be an inside look into Spider-Man’s childhood before and after he joins Marvel’s Avengers. Spider-Man:Homecoming hits theaters on July 7, 2017 and this Spider-Man.
