Job Description

Bring the Fire Project is hosting the Fire Open Stage at the British Juggling Convention (BJC) 2026 and is inviting fire performers of all styles and experience levels to apply. This open stage is designed to celebrate creativity, experimentation, and community within the fire and flow arts scene.

Performers will have the opportunity to showcase their fire acts in front of an enthusiastic convention audience in a supportive, high-energy environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform a short fire act (approximately 5–10 minutes)

  • Present a safe, engaging, and audience-ready performance

  • Communicate any technical or safety requirements in advance

  • Collaborate with event organizers to ensure smooth staging and transitions

  • Represent yourself and the fire arts community professionally

Requirements

  • Open to solo performers, duos, and small groups

  • All experience levels welcome (emerging and established artists alike)

  • Must have a prepared fire performance piece

  • Ability to clearly outline technical and safety needs

  • Strong stage presence and performance skills
