Conspiracy Theorists Say Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston’s Relationship is Fake

Date:

Is Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston’s relationship fake?

That’s what some people on the Internet think. Buzzfeed has revealed several posts regarding the very public relationship between Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston following her break up from Calvin Harris. The latest theory suggests the whole affair is a form of “performance art” and will lead into a new music video by Taylor Swift.

This is not the first time Taylor Swift has been accused of using relationships for narratives for songs, and consequently, professional gain. For example, her relationships with Harry Styles and Jake Gyllenhaal were all turned into songs and caused media attention. However, the popstar has denied such claims and bashed the media for twisting things.

“For the better part of 2012 and 2013, I did not go online, because I didn’t like what they were saying about me,” she told Vanity Fair last September. “And it was so overwhelmingly inaccurate that I knew there was nothing I could do to fight. When the media decides that they don’t like you, there’s nothing you can do that doesn’t seem desperate and irritating to everyone when you try to defend yourself. So I just had to go into my little emotional bunker and pretend there weren’t bombs going off outside.”

Swift and Hiddleston just wrapped up a very exciting and intimate Fourth of July weekend with Swift’s celebrity friends at her beachside mansion in Rhode Island, where Hiddleston was spotted wearing a “I <3 T.S.” shirt.

If they’re acting then, give them an Academy Award. On the other hand, Ryan Reynolds looks like he’s not having a good time.
