MT Kelly
About:
MT Kelly is a UK/US-based performer, puppeteer, and theatre-maker whose work sits at the intersection of visual art, storytelling, and physical performance. He is the founder and director of Inkfish Theatre, creating original puppet theatre supported by organisations including the Jim Henson Foundation, La MaMa ETC, Arts at St. Ann’s, and Nordland Visual Theatre (Norway). His productions—such as The Digger, The Brain, and Nikolai Gogol’s The Nose—blend sculpture, movement, and imaginative stagecraft. Mike has collaborated with internationally recognised artists and companies including Basil Twist, Ronnie Burkett, Theodora Skipitares, and the Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre. An alumnus of the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s National Puppetry Conference, he brings a visually rich, empathetic, and handcrafted approach to contemporary performance.
