Shekhar Subedi

Shekhar Subedi is a Nepali theatre and film actor who primarily works in Nepali theatre and cinema. He garnered national attention and widespread acclaim for modeling and acting in many fashion shows, runways, movies, dramas, and stage shows in theatres. Shekhar Subedi was born in Jorpati to parents who were middle-class householders. He did his schooling in Shanti Adarsha Sec School (Jorpati) High School in Jorpati. He studied at Jorpati and did his Intermediate from Reliance International University, and after completing his education, he became involved in theatre arts. He graduated from Pashupati Multiple Campus, Chabahil, and started working as a Project Manager in an INGO Construction Company during the day and doing theatre in the evening. He worked with construction companies, banks, multinational companies, distribution companies, and other different sectors in Kathmandu. He received an opportunity to work in a classical play, Mahabharat, Aswatthama, in theatre. The play was successful, and he landed a role performing with another stalwart of Nepali theatre. He received a role in the Nepali film Chi musi Chi (2018), which became commercially successful. He continued to work in theatre with several plays in which he played multiple roles. He was included in the Himalayan Times with his play Aswatthama, a monologue performed in Nepali and Hindi languages. He played in several music videos in Nepali, and he was most recognized in "PAHILO YO MAYA," which is a semi-classical based song, while other videos were commercially average. He did short movies, fashion shows, advertisements, photoshoots, and he won Mr. Popular of Nepal 2016 in a Manhunt Int'l Nepal.
