Joseph Henderson

Joseph Henderson is LA based actor and writer. In 2018, Joseph graduated from his HBCU (Historically Black College and University), Jackson State University, and majored in Speech Communication with a concentration in Theater. Joseph then received his Masters of Fine Arts in Theater from UCLA in June 2022. Joseph resides in Los Angeles, California and serves on the board at Hero Theater, and serves as Associate Artistic Director as Hero Theatre as well. As a writer, he wrote a new work named “Not Another Black Play” as his thesis before he graduated. The play is about a black family who goes on an over 1000 year journey throughout history from 1863-3022, searching for their space in this world. In his free time, he likes hanging out with family and friends and volunteer work with his Fraternity Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. His first love is acting and he has done voiceover work for Netflix, and could be seen on game shows including “5 words or less” and acting as a defendant on the popular judge show; Judge Mathis. Joseph is a film actor as well and has done many short films and commercials. Joseph loves to show his culture in his work by also highlighting it’s nuances to show the world how he and his culture is not a monolith, and could be many things
