An independent student short film titled “Talkback” is seeking talent for a suspenseful, darkly comedic story set around a late-night radio show and a traffic light that never turns green. This Sydney-area casting opportunity is ideal for actors who enjoy character-driven material and psychological tension. Roles are open to any gender, and one role is voice only.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform scripted scenes with strong emotional control and clear character choices

  • Take direction from the student production team and remain collaborative on set

  • Be available for two night shoots and work efficiently within a small crew environment

  • For voice talent: deliver expressive voice performance with strong tone and pacing

Requirements

  • Roles open to any gender

  • Must be able to work in/near Turramurra, Sydney

  • Available for two night shoots (late January / early February; exact dates TBC)

  • Roles:

    • Wally (20s): “business casual” type, exhausted and just trying to get home

    • Radio Host (30+): chaotic, unsettling presence — voice only

  • Headshot, showreel, and CV recommended
