Job Description
A new short film is seeking talented actors for an emotionally rich story exploring identity, love, and cultural belonging. The film follows Hari, a young Indian-American living in Lower Manhattan, who struggles to embrace his intersectional identity as a gay Hindu man. When he meets someone who accepts him fully, he begins to understand that he can honor both his queerness and his religion. This project is ideal for performers who connect with intimate storytelling and nuanced character work.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray authentic and emotionally grounded performances

• Collaborate closely with the director to bring depth to character arcs

• Rehearse and perform scenes involving interpersonal relationships and internal conflict

• Maintain professionalism and preparedness throughout production

• Participate in a scheduled casting session on November 22nd

Requirements

• Actors comfortable exploring themes of culture, identity, and LGBTQ+ experiences

• Strong dramatic acting ability

• Availability for the casting session on November 22nd from 12 PM–8 PM

• Based in or able to work in the New York City area
