A New York City immersive theater production is seeking actors for “EATING,” an intimate, character-driven show set around a communal table. This project is ideal for performers who excel in emotionally rich storytelling, audience engagement, and bold character work. Talent will participate in rehearsals and live performances that blend theatrical immersion with narrative depth.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform as a featured character in an immersive theatrical environment

• Engage directly with audience members in a communal setting

• Portray dynamic emotional shifts and nuanced character traits

• Attend table read, rehearsals, and scheduled performances

Roles Available

• Jezebel (30–45): Charismatic, sensual, manipulative presence

• Ahab (40–55): Volatile, broken king filled with guilt

• Shimey (30–50): Slick advisor with cynical, comedic undertones

• Elyakim (30–50): Moral, intellectual, restrained energy

• Naboth (25–40): Honest, innocent, principled figure

• Waiter (20–40): Enigmatic guide connecting audience to the world of the play

Requirements

• Strong character acting skills

• Comfortable with immersive performance and audience interaction

• Available for rehearsals and performance dates

• Must submit a headshot for consideration

Compensation

• $400 total pay
