Christian Griffith

Cinematographer. Filmmaker. Storyteller. Christian Lee Griffith, the second eldest of six siblings, was raised by a stay-at-home mom and a father who served in the army for 28 years. As a military family, we traveled a lot, and when I graduated in Germany, it opened the door for me to pursue an associate degree in graphic design at Vincennes University. While at Vincennes, I participated in a film competition for Rode Microphones that inspired me to tell the story of a young woman who found redemption from self-harm. At that moment, I knew I wanted to continue on that path of storytelling. Following that experience, someone recommended that I attend Ball State University, where I graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications. During that time and afterward, I pursued various film projects independently, creating content for Richey Athletics, commercials, weddings, and photography. In addition to my work in film, I have gained valuable experiences in a variety of jobs that shape my perspective on filmmaking. These include farm work, factory jobs, construction, bricklaying, serving at Texas Roadhouse, bartending, and working as a barback at a Midwest bartending school. I've also laid concrete and done roofing work in Arizona, among many other small experiences that continue to influence how I see people and life. Through this journey, I have learned that I want to express life truthfully through real experiences, whether fictionally, poetically, or creatively. I plan to execute my current and past projects to the best of my ability, and I'm eager to see where this journey leads as I aspire to tell new stories.
