Jerrel O’Neal

Jerrel O’Neal is an award-winning Actor, Director, Writer, Choreographer, musician former track athlete, and life influencer from Detroit Michigan. He attended Alabama State University where he received his BA in Theater Arts. Performing in shows such as “A Raisen In The Sun” (George Murchison) and August Wilson’s “Jitney” (Booster). In college he was the recipient of the “Marvin Sims” award at the KCACTF national acting competition. He went on to sign a professional acting contract with the BStreet Theater in Sacramento, CA. Since moving to LA Jerrel has starred alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest names Such as Loretta Divine, Harry J. Lennix, Vanessa Bell Callaway and Omari Hardwick. In 2018 He received an NAACP award for best supporting actor for the stage play “The Mask We Wear”. He has starred in movies such as “ThreeWays” (Hulu), “Summer of Violence” (Apple TV) , and Phels High (Theatrical Release). He is also starring in the hit TV series G.R.I.T.S on (AllBLK Network), and currently he has his own Podcast titled “REL TALK” available on YouTube (Oscar_Oneal) and all streaming platforms! He currently is set to play the lead role in the production of “Brown Broadway Musical” which marks his 20th year in doing theater, and this is a journey he looks forward to, for the rest of his life!
