Sonia Sawkar is a Los Angeles native actor, writer, and comedian trained at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and ZA Studio. She wrote, directed, and starred in an award-winning short film, and has appeared in numerous short films, features, and national commercials. Recognized with multiple Best Actor awards across a range of film festivals, Sonia also performs stand-up comedy and creates original sketch work. Outside of performing, she loves animals, rock climbing, puzzles, and recently trekked with gorillas in Uganda—all while cherishing time with her kids.
