Originally hailing from Louisville, Kentucky, Fernandra Fowler, professionally known as FlavaFe, began her creative journey behind the lens with a love for capturing landscapes. Over time, she transitioned into portraiture and quickly gained recognition for her authentic, emotive visual storytelling. Her early works in New York’s SoHo neighborhood paved the way for sessions with numerous celebrities and placements in respected outlets such as AfroPunk, The Source, Okayplayer, and Paper Magazine solidifying her reputation as a rising star in visual arts . FlavaFe’s dynamic shoot experiences span live events like Complex Con, Afropunk, and Joefresh’s “Joefresh × Snapple” showcase, where she offers fresh, vivid perspectives and creative energy. One of her personal highlights includes directing and filming the music video “Naw” by OG Shyne in Santa Monica, a favorite project that stands out for its spontaneity and collaborative spirit .
