NBC is looking for aspiring TV hosts
Do you want to learn how to be an on-camera host? NBCUniversal is holding a hosting workshop for TV camera hosts. During the American Black Film Festival NBC is holding a hosting workshop to “cultivate & discover exceptional host talent.” Talents will be taught by premiere host instructor, Marki Costello, for a three-day workshop is targeted for intermediate and advanced level hosts who want to sharpen their hosting skills and techniques! The workshop will also focus on the social digital interaction of media. Here’s what you will learn if you’re selected to attend the hosting workshop.
WORKSHOP FOCUS:
- Re-invent your brand!
- Enhance your on-camera performance, and reading and writing copy
- Strengthen co-hosting, teleprompter and auditioning skills
- Learn invaluable tips for your career
- Learn from keynote speakers!
TOP SELECT PARTICIPANT(S):
- Receive the opportunity to conduct media and/or celebrity interviews during the ABFF 2017 in Miami, Florida.
- Will receive one (1) festival credential and airfare to the ABFF.
- Meet with NBCU Talent Executives from E! and Bravo TV
HOW TO APPLY
- Select TWO host scripts to perform and videotape:
- Click on and complete the Hosting Workshop Application Form to upload your host reel and self-taped video entry according to the provided instructions.
- Applicants MUST also submit a reel of their previous host work (previous host experience may include, but not limited to: digital, TV and live events).
