A micro-budget short film is seeking an experienced 1st Assistant Director to join the crew for a three-day shoot. Set during a high school Halloween party, this project requires a detail-oriented professional who can oversee the production schedule, coordinate on-set logistics, and ensure a smooth shoot from start to finish. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with a focused creative team on a stylized short film in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and enforce daily production schedules and timelines

• Oversee call sheets, on-set operations, and crew coordination

• Communicate clearly with all departments to maintain workflow

• Troubleshoot scheduling issues and adapt quickly on set

• Ensure each day wraps on time while supporting the director’s vision

Requirements

• Prior experience as a 1st AD on indie film sets, music videos, or similar productions

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Highly organized and confident in fast-paced environments

• Available for all shoot dates and able to work as a local in Atlanta

• Comfortable managing low-budget logistics without compromising production quality

Compensation

• Paid role (rate based on experience)

• Must be local to the Atlanta metro area

• Three-day commitment required
