Studio Theatre of Long Island urgently seeks a talented actor to play Benedick in their upcoming production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. This is a paid opportunity to perform in a professional theatre setting with multiple performances across Islip Township.

Role Details:

• Character: Benedick (male, late 20s-30s)

• Traits: Witty, aristocratic soldier with sharp comedic timing

• Key Relationships: “Merry war” of wits with Beatrice, friendships with Don Pedro & Claudio

Rehearsal & Performance Schedule:

• Rehearsals: Sundays-Thursdays

• Locations:

  • Manes Studio Theatre (Lindenhurst)

  • Islip Arts Council (Bay Shore)

• Performance Dates: July 16, August 5, 16, 24

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong classical/Shakespearean experience

• Excellent comedic timing

• Available for full rehearsal & performance schedule
