Job Description
A replacement actor is urgently needed for the role of Falstaff in an ongoing stage production of Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Part 1. This classical outdoor theatre performance is already in rehearsal and features free shows across Long Island throughout late July and August. This is a high-visibility opportunity for experienced stage actors to step into a prominent role on short notice.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform the role of Falstaff in a live classical theatre production

• Attend and participate in ongoing rehearsals immediately

• Deliver a compelling, energetic performance across multiple outdoor venues

• Collaborate with cast and crew under the direction of the theater’s creative team

• Engage live audiences with Shakespearean dialogue and character work

Requirements

• Strong classical theatre acting experience, preferably with Shakespeare

• Availability for immediate rehearsals and all performance dates

• Ability to project and perform in outdoor environments

• Professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced production timeline

Compensation

• Unpaid community theatre production (free public performances)

• Performance venues include Babylon, Lindenhurst, Bay Shore, and Farmingdale

• Dates: July 23, 27, 29, 30; August 3, 6, 10, 13, 17, 24

• Outdoor shows begin at 6:30 PM (one at 3:00 PM)
