Arjuna Sayyed

Arjuna Sayyed is a North Oakland–based educator, artist, and cultural storyteller with over 20 years of experience rooted in community-conscious themes of equity, access, physical expression, and collective liberation. In this time, Arjuna has channeled his passion for street dance, soccer, and hip hop culture into a dynamic body of work that spans acting and modeling for athletic and lifestyle brands, as well as teaching, equity programming, and strategic leadership across schools and community organizations. His professional journey has taken him from the streets of Oakland to international stages in Poland and India, where he’s taught breakdance and performed in Bombay to Brooklyn Rock, an original multimedia, dance-driven production created in collaboration with local hip hop artists. Still, Arjuna’s heart remains in Oakland - where he continues to develop inclusive spaces for movement, creativity, and play in parks, schools, and public spaces across the city.
