Before Donald Trump ran for president, many people believed that a reality TV star would have no chance at becoming the next president of the United States. Surprisingly, Donald Trump, the star of the hit NBC reality series Celebrity Apprentice, is now the leader of the free world.
But, it looks like another reality TV star may be following in President Trump’s footsteps. At an event at New York’s 92nd St. Y community center, Jenner discussed her political involvement answer Republican connections, which have led to many people to question in the past, considering many of the Republicans views concerning transgender people. Even though she endorsed Trump in the past, she claims her work with the transgender community was her focus.
“My loyalties are not with Donald Trump. I will come after him and come after Republicans if they come after my community.”
She recently created the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation to support transgender rights and has been very vocal about the transgender bathroom policy.
Despite rejecting many of Trump’s latest political decisions, she says she’s considering running for political office as well.
“Or would I be better working from the inside. If that is the case… I would seriously look at a run. It just depends where I could be more effective.”
Needless to say, I’m not surprised.
