James Valentine

My name is James Valentine. I was raised in Lakeland, Fl. I grew up on a farm in Kissimmee Florida where we raised cattle and crop. At the young age of 10 I knew I wanted to be an actor. Just watching the movies and studying the actors, and just thinking wow it’s like you can play anybody. I was always interested in how movies were made, how they did some of my favorite scenes, and most importantly how could I be an actor? It wasn’t about the money or the fame, but just making people feel the way I felt when I watched some of my favorite actors on television or in movies. I went to a local talent agency around 2005, did a few auditions and wanted to give the industry a “Shot”. Unfortunately in my family you either worked or went to school. “Acting isn’t a real job” my father told me at the age of 18. I looked up to him so much that I followed his path and went into a career in welding and contracting, and getting into engineering school. Long story short, I now live in Lockport, NY and I was recently married to the love of my life. For years as an adult I’ve always heard from friends and strangers that, I should be an actor. I have a way better support system now then when I was 18 years old. And frankly I am tired of thinking “what if”. I’m taking my shot!! I am in the process of getting professional head and body shots.
