About company:
Julie Buck is a Brooklyn based filmmaker, photographer and film producer. Her found footage exhibition, Girls on Film (with Karin Rywkind Segal), was exhibited at the Courthouse Gallery at the Anthology Film Archive in NYC, the Sert Gallery at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA and the Center for Contemporary Art in Tel Aviv. Girls on Film was listed as a must see show by TimeOut New York, the Boston Globe and the New York Times. Her solo photography and experimental films have been exhibited internationally and in galleries across the US. Her most recent work as a director, the experimental documentary short film, Double Exposed, played over 20 festivals, including Hot Docs, Rhode Island and Nashville. As a film producer, Buck’s work has played at such festivals as Tribeca, South by Southwest, London Film Festival, and Sundance. As an academic, she has lectured across the US at places including Harvard University, George Eastman Museum, New York University, Ringling College of Art and Design and University of Tampa. Preacher Biscuit Books published Buck’s first artist book, Finite Sets, in 2008. She received a fellowship to the Cine Qua Non Artist Residency for Filmmakers in 2009. Buck previously worked as the head archivist at the Harvard Film Archive. She has an MFA in film producing from Columbia University, a certificate in film preservation from George Eastman Museum, and is currently a professor at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut.

Job Description
Join a dynamic production team for an upcoming independent feature film with a unique story and strong creative vision. This project offers a chance to work alongside dedicated professionals in a supportive, fast-paced environment. All crew positions are currently open.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth daily operations on set

  • Fulfill role-specific duties (e.g., camera, sound, lighting, art department, etc.)

  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and safety

  • Communicate effectively with department heads and fellow crew members

  • Adapt quickly to schedule changes and production needs

Requirements

  • Prior experience in your specific film department (entry-level candidates may be considered)

  • Strong work ethic and problem-solving mindset

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, on-location environment

  • Must be available during the shooting schedule in the Columbus/LaGrange area

  • Georgia-based applicants preferred
