Production for season 4 of ABC’s Bachelor in Paradise has been suspended, according to a statement from Warner Bros.
Warner Bros. explains, “We have become aware of allegations of misconduct on the set of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ in Mexico. We have suspended production, and we are conducting a thorough investigation of these allegations. Once the investigation is complete, we will take appropriate responsive action.”
The Bachelor spinoff, which films in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, was scheduled to premiere in early August.
The show centers around Bachelor and Bachelorette alumni as they try to find love in paradise. Hosted by Chris Harrison, Bachelor in Paradise is a less romantic version of the predecessors but, features more twists, surprises, and unexpected guests.
During its 2016 run, Bachelor in Paradise was ranked as Monday’s No. 1 TV series among adults ages 18 to 34, while also standing as the top-rated show on both Monday and Tuesday with women 18-34.
According to TMZ, pool sex shut down the spin-off after a producer complained about two contestants “Getting extremely sexual in a swimming pool.” The website says its sources are connected to DeMario Jackson but adds the following warning: “There are different versions, and Warner Bros. has launched a full investigation.”
Allegedly, show producers had seen the footage of the hookup and “filed a formal complaint with Warner Bros” who immediately suspended production, “launched an investigation and released DeMario and Corrine.”
