About company:
Sylvia Gregory has cast SAG Feature and Independent Short Films, video games, commercials, web spots, print ads and ad campaigns for numerous national and regional commercials. She got her start casting as an Associate at The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, and then partnered with Cathy Reinking, former Casting Director at NBC. Sylvia opened her own agency in 2010, and has since cast the episodic films “Encrucijada” for PBS and Univision, which won the Heartland Regional Emmy in 2015. The New York Times has recognized her work for both The Colorado Office of Suicide Prevention’s “Man Therapy” PSA campaign, and The Colorado Shakespeare Festival’s production of Hamlet. Sylvia has worked as a Performance Director for Deck Nine Games, the Casting Director for The Colorado Shakespeare Festival for 9 seasons, the Casting Director for LOCAL Theatre for 7 seasons, as well as consulting on casting for many theaters throughout the state. She also teaches acting and auditioning for on-camera, video games and the stage. She holds a degree in Theater Arts with an emphasis in Acting from California State University Fullerton, a degree in classical acting from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, and a Master’s of Fine Arts degree from The Alabama Shakespeare Festival/University of Alabama/PAT. Sylvia is a proud member of The Casting Society of America.

Casting Call for Young Bud Stoecker – Feature Film “The Man Who Changed The World”

A feature film is seeking a young actor to portray Young Bud Stoecker in The Man Who Changed The World. This is a SAG-AFTRA production, but union membership is not required to audition. The role requires a talented young performer capable of conveying deep emotions in a powerful and moving scene.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray a five-year-old boy experiencing intense emotional moments
  • Follow direction from the director and production team
  • Express a range of emotions, including believable crying
  • Maintain professionalism on set during filming

Requirements

  • Male, Caucasian
  • Age range: 4-7 (to portray a 5-year-old)
  • Light brown hair and blue eyes
  • Strong ability to express emotion on camera
  • Must be available for the shoot date (subject to change)

Compensation

  • Day Rate: $1,204
  • Weekly Rate: $4,180
  • +10% for talent with an agent
  • Overtime rates apply after 8 hours
