Aretha Tatum

Aretha “Ms Respect” Tatum Aretha Tatum is a minister, author, and filmmaker from Chicago, Illinois. She is also a motivational speaker, songwriter and a freelance writer with articles appearing in both national and international magazines. She entered ministry at the age of forty three, published her first book at forty-seven, and released her first short film in 2017 at the age of fifty. Tatum is the creator, writer and a producer of a dramedy musical series called Seasoned which is streaming on various platforms. Seasoned follows a group of mid-life men and women who are determined to make the next 50 years their best. Aretha transformed the series into a live musical and comedic showcase event featuring the cast of the series on stage. The message of Seasoned is to remind older individuals that it is never too late to live on purpose. Aretha uses the series and the showcases to create opportunities in entertainment for people over fifty. Aretha has received various awards and honors including the 2023 Artists Promoting Success Artistic Visionary of the Year award, The Lightning Strike Radio show 2023 Person of the Year award along with various film festival awards and was a 2018 Chicago Defender Women of Excellence Honoree. She loves to create content designed to ignite faith and fuel joy. Aretha’s personal mission is to encourage everyone to LIVE ON PURPOSE!
